GREATLAKES boron nitride coating
Product introduction
Boron nitride coating is widely used in gravity casting, low-pressure casting and other industries, which plays the role of corrosion prevention, lubrication and demoulding between non-ferrous molten metal and mold and carrier, avoids chemical erosion, makes it easy to peel off the film, prolongs the service life of mold and carrier, and increases productivity at the same time, or serves as a protective agent for the isolation layer between molten metal and runner, and effectively maintains runner and its appliances.
Boron nitride coating can resist high temperature of 2800℃, and it can maintain its unique stability, lubricity and non-stick even at extremely high temperature, thus effectively improving the effects of lubricating release and high temperature protection. The boron nitride coating has a unique formula, which is superior to the traditional demoulding products in corrosion resistance, lubricity, adhesion and wear resistance.
GREATLAKES boron nitride coating series has good adhesion to the mold and provides a longer-lasting demoulding interface. In addition, C80 series is also a lubricant with extremely fine particle size, which can protect the mold well when used at the joint of the mold.
GREATLAKES boron nitride coating series is based on boron nitride, and its unique non-stick characteristics make the aluminum soup flow more smoothly. The application of casting industry can not only increase the fluidity of aluminum liquid, but also make it have a longer service life and more demolding times than the general release agent, reducing the time required for repainting the release agent and improving the productivity. It has excellent lubricity and oxidation resistance, showing a high degree of non-wetting characteristics with copper, aluminum nonferrous metals and glass. This series of coating products use deionized water as solvent, which does not contain harmful impurity ions. The coating system is weak acid or weak alkaline, which will not cause harm to the surrounding environment and belongs to environment-friendly products.

Product application
GREATLAKES boron nitride coating series (high temperature release agent, metal molding release agent, high temperature lubricant)
Suitable for all kinds of release agents and lubricants that need to work at high temperature (this product can withstand high temperature of 2800℃), such as glass industry, metal welding, metal forming industry, etc., which can effectively lubricate and isolate the interface and make various processing processes smoother. Sintering of metal and ceramic powder is usually carried out on graphite plate. After coating a layer of boron nitride coating on graphite, the pollution, reaction and adhesion of carbon to sintered parts that may occur during sintering can be obviously removed.
method of application
This product can be diluted with deionized water or distilled water, and customers should choose the appropriate consistency according to different use environments. After fully and evenly stirring, the coating is evenly brushed or sprayed on the surface of the mold with a brush (the coating should not be too thick), and the spraying effect is good. After drying, the coating can be treated, smoothed and polished with dry soft cotton cloth.
On the application method of boron nitride coating
1. Clean the surface of the protected material and spray boron nitride after washing.
2. The new launder is diluted by 1: 3 to 1: 5, and the brush trough/furnace wall is about 23 microns thick; After the old launder is diluted by 1:6, the brush trough/furnace wall is about 20 microns thick.
3. Use a sponge (brush, spray gun) to coat the diluted boron nitride coating on the surface of the material, or adjust the dilution multiple as needed.
4. After coating, dry it at about 300℃ and use it after the coating is dried.
5. For inaccessible local coating (such as the inner wall of a thin tube), the coated part can be immersed in diluted boron nitride coating, taken out and used after the excess coating naturally flows out.
6. The coating of boron nitride coating should be uniform, and the surface should not be aggregated, so it is not advisable to coat it too thick.
7. Note: the method of use is not fixed, and it can be prepared by experiments according to the user's product technology!
Precautions for use
1. Stir well before use.
2. When coating, the surface of the mold should be clean to avoid leaving oil and dust, so as to ensure that the coating can adhere.
3. The coating target needs to be preheated at about 70~150℃, and insufficient temperature will affect the coating effect a lot.
4. The spraying thickness is about 15~30μm m..
5. GREATLAKES boron nitride coating series has strong adhesion, and it has obvious lubrication and demoulding effect without coating too thick.
6. After spraying, directly heat the mold to the working temperature for use.
7. If the coating is too thick, it is easy to peel off.
8. It is normal that the viscosity of coatings will change slightly with the change of ambient temperature.
Store precautions
This product is non-toxic and harmless. If it touches the skin, it can be washed with clean water and stored in a cool and dry place.
If freezing or precipitation occurs, the use effect of the product will not be affected, and it can be used continuously after being stirred evenly.
Avoid long-term storage in an environment below 0℃ or above 50℃.
Packing: 1kg/barrel, 4kg/barrel, 6kg/barrel.
1kg/ barrel packaging, easy to use, avoid product hardening caused by long-term exposure to air, and adjust the packaging according to the usage quantity of your customers.
